Love the pattern on these:
Another orange, brown and yellow one - one of my favourite colour combos:
I love this one with its wickerwork surround and handles. The tray surface is a lovely bright yellow, which unfortunately hasn't shown up well in this piccy, and has a pretty starburst pattern.
This tray belongs to Mr J and P which he bought back in the day when he collected royal paraphernelia (oh yes he did).
Mr J and P's royal souvenir collection used to consist of postcards, magazines, jigsaw puzzles, books - you name it - he had a lot of it. Which reminds me of the time he went to Oxfam to donate a Princess Margaret biography. The lady in charge refused to accept it saying "Do you think anyone would ever want to read this?". Poor Mr J and P scuttled off home rather red -faced, tail firmly between his legs.
What an excellent tray collection! I must admit to having rather a few of those retro print circular ones.
ReplyDeleteHow hot does Anne look? In fact the whole family look remarkably good looking.xxx
Love those...the un-Royal family ones, that is. :) (Poor Mr. J&P...)
ReplyDeleteAny of them metal? They'd make nice magnent boards as well.
The round trays are wonderful.

Fantastic collection. Really like the first one. 8 to 7 is my kinda clearing out hahaha! x
ReplyDeleteVV is right - I don't recognise any of the royals there haha!
ReplyDeleteLove them all :)
I am soooo glad that it is not just me that collects trays - I cannot pass a charity shop without bringing home any loan trays but mine are propped up by the side of the cooker, much safer.

Ha ha! I love that the lady refused the book, I have to admit that I certainly wouldn't want to read it. Poor Mr J&P.
ReplyDeleteI love the two round trays.

Oooh,I don't know if I could bring myself to put a mug of coffee down on Her Majesty's head!
ReplyDeleteMy sister gave me a lovely wooden tray with high sides,so the cups don't slide off and it fell off the dresser and broke! It was my favourite too. :o(
Your trays are great - the first few whisked me straight back to the 60s! The Oxfam lady's comment is hilarious - you wouldn't think they'd be able to comment like that! Thanks for your comments on my (very new!) blog :) I'm going to like Blogland, I can tell!
ReplyDeleteWell, did you hang one up? :)
ReplyDelete....hahahahaha....Your post made me SMILE OUT LOUD just now....THANK YOU....Poor Mr J & P....I take it he's no longer infatuated with these 'collectables' or has he gone 'underground'.... :o) ??
